NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM JOINS NATIONAL CAMPAIGN “RESPECT” The National Gender Committee of the Government of Mongolia has launched a one-month campaign “RESPECT” that is traditionally organized nationally from March 1 to April 1 every year on the occasion of International Women’s Day and Mongolian Military Day https://www.ncge.gov.mn/3586 This “Respect” campaign is organized under the slogan “Let’s love each other, change our attitudes, and lead by example together” and focuses on disseminating information and information on the following topics to contribute to the prevention and reduction of gender inequality and gender-based violence, as well as gender education among young people and the general public. These include: Ensuring the needs arising from the challenges and differences faced by men and women in labor relations, ensuring work-life balance, and implementing gender-sensitive workplace policies at all levels; Ensuring the implementation of the Action Plan to Reduce the Life Expectancy Gap between Men and Women (2024-2027) in every sector and locality; Addressing the increasing dropout rate of boys starting from secondary school and the decreasing participation of men in higher education; Preventing peer bullying such as condemning, stigmatizing, discriminating, and harassing others' differences in the EBC environment; Stopping the measure called "Girls' Examination" that is inconsistent with the Constitution, the Law on the Rights of the Child, and the Law on Ensuring Gender Equality; Focusing on conducting examinations and diagnostics for girls and boys in designated environments that meet health requirements; Increasing the awareness and knowledge of girls and boys; Promoting "Darkhan Ber" and other similar measures are in accordance with the Constitution and the Gender Equality Act. Since it violates the human rights stipulated in the Law on Equality and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, we urge you to initiate, organize, cooperate with, and support similar events within your jurisdiction, and to organize events to prevent them. Be respectful, ethical, and polite to each other when communicating in the online environment, and avoid any form of insults or violence.
