A brief introduction to the research work carried out within the framework of the foreign cooperation of the Museum of Natural History of Mongolia
The Museum of Natural History conducts geological and biological research within the framework of the memorandum of understanding with the scientific institutions of the Republic of Korea, the People's Republic of China, and the Republic of Germany. As a result of joint research, scientific works and articles are published, participation in international scientific meetings and exhibitions are held.

Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation with the National Science Museum of the Republic of Korea:
- In 2013, research of flora and fauna of Ikh Nart Nature Reserve, Dalanjargalan Soum, Dornogovi Province
- In 2015, research of flora and fauna in Shatan area of Batsumber Soum, Tuv Province
- In 2016, research of flora and fauna in Kherlen Toonot, Delgerhaan Ssum, Khentii Province
- In 2024, research of flora and fauna of Darkhan Mountain Nature Reserve, Darkhan Soum area, Khentii Province
- In 2024, research of flora and fauna in the restricted area of the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, Erdene Soum, Tuv Province
Within the scope of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement with the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences and the Chinese University of Science and Technology:
- In 2024, the study of microorganisms in the Precambrian and Cambrian migration zone of Mongolia in Gobi-Altai, Zavkhan, Hovd, Bayan-Olgii, and Khuvsgol Provinces
- In 2024, a geological survey of the blocky data and shelf depressions of Mongolia in the areas of Khentii, Tuv, Dundgobi, and Umnugobi Provinces
Within the framework of the MOU with the Natural History Museum of Berlin, Germany:
- In 2024, in Erdene Soum area of Tuv Province, in the restricted area of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, nocturnal insects were collected and research was conducted to identify their species.
