NURAMKHAAN MANCHUK APPOINTED AS ACTING DIRECTOR OF NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

NURAMKHAAN MANCHUK APPOINTED AS ACTING DIRECTOR OF THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM. Manchuk holds a Doctor of Science (Sc.D), a geologist and paleontologist. His main research interests include radiolarians, ammonites, and microfauna remains in ancient stone tools, biostratigraphy of ancient animal remains, isotopic dating, and paleoenvironmental restoration. He has been actively involved in museum research, exhibition preparation, and international cooperation in Mongolia and Japan for over 20 years. He has led joint projects with SHUTIS and Nagoya University, and has implemented scientific management, field research, and museum education programs. He has the skills necessary for museum administration, planning, management, public participation, and coordinated development of scientific activities. He has advanced knowledge of Mongolian, Japanese, English, and Kazakh, and has published more than 30 international research articles and works. He has participated in the joint research of the ancient stone age of Jordan with the Nagoya University Museum in Japan and the University of Jordan in Jordan, as a visiting researcher at Nagoya University and the museum, and the joint research of the ancient stone age of Nagoya University Museum in Japan and Syria. The scientific expert, who has been working as the Secretary of the Mongolian Stratigraphic Commission (2024–present), the Advisory Geologist of Mongolia (2022–), and a member of the Japanese and international radiolarian research group (2009–), has been appointed as the acting director of the Natural History Museum.
