A meeting to study experiences within the framework of the development of the National Museum of Natural Sciences was successfully held at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum on October 9, 2025.
At the meeting, the Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Academician S. Chuluun, along with relevant experts, warmly welcomed the Director of the Museum of Natural History, Doctor of Science N. Manchuk, and members of the sub-working group on exhibition design. Academician S. Chuluun made a detailed presentation on the history of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, stages of development, challenges encountered, ways to overcome them, and future development trends, and shared his experiences.
Also, the Head of the Museum's Community Center, B. Adyakhuu, gave advice on "Museum Security System and Risk Management" and made a presentation on the preservation and protection of collections, the safety of buildings and structures, and measures to be taken in emergency situations. After that, the participants exchanged views on the management of museum security and risk assessment methods and held a free discussion.
During the meeting, the participants were introduced to the internal structure of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, including the treasury, restoration and research laboratories.
The participants made presentations on the work process, exhibition planning, technological solutions, and ways to increase audience participation within the framework of the National Museum of Natural Sciences project, and exchanged views. It was important to introduce the experience of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum in the conceptual planning, structural organization, collection storage and protection environment, museum management, and human resource preparation of the National Museum of Natural Sciences.
